Vision and Mission

Our vision is to be a centre of educational excellence, opportunity and support within an inclusive, caring environment. South Sefton College was established to provide greater opportunities for high quality academic Level 3 courses for the young people of Liverpool and beyond. We are a centre of educational excellence offering a wide range of advanced level courses with a broad variety of enrichment opportunities. We have a strong supportive pastoral ethos and the highest quality additional learning support to ensure all of our students fulfil their potential irrespective of ability or circumstances.
We welcome 16-19 year-olds from the Liverpool city region and beyond, regardless of gender, sexual identity, ethnic origin, nationality, religious belief, disability or social background. We are delighted that in 2016 Ofsted concluded:

Leaders have cultivated a calm and safe atmosphere across the college. The vast majority of students demonstrate exemplary conduct and mature attitudes in their behaviour. They are unfailingly polite and helpful and are very loyal and proud of their college. Students display good attitudes to their learning in lessons. Relationships in the classroom are good. Students have confidence in their teachers and are not afraid to ask questions when they do not understand. Students adhere to the college’s rules in an exemplary way…”
